Literature
I start literatures studies in preschool by having them draw and create projects based on books we are reading. I have created my own Literatures Genres class starting in 4th grade. An easier open and go choice is Drawn into the Heart of Reading, although it does include religious pages that are easy to skip over. I found it to be a great entry into really breaking down literature into it’s pieces and more deeply understanding story elements, character traits, vocabulary using graphic organizer style pages.
